City drill-down

Đà Nẵng's IT hub, up close

Small in job count, but the city has spent a decade building physical IT infrastructure — and is now pivoting toward semiconductors and AI, not just outsourcing.

Data snapshot: Sep 2026
4
centralised IT/software park zones built since 2010
20.7%
of city GRDP from IT — targeted to reach 35–40% by 2030
42
open IT roles listed right now (one job board)

The physical IT hub Đà Nẵng's tech real estate

Đà Nẵng Software Park (No. 1)
Downtown, Hải Châu district. Vietnam's third centralised IT zone after Hà Nội and HCMC. Historically home to ~75 IT businesses (22 foreign) and ~2,400 employees.
Đà Nẵng Software Park No. 2
Opened Jan 2025 on Nguyễn Tất Thành St. Built for ~6,000 IT engineers, explicitly targeting semiconductor, AI and microchip-design work — a shift beyond traditional outsourcing. MoUs signed with Marvell, FPT and Sovico at launch.
Đà Nẵng IT Park / Hi-Tech Park
341-hectare zone positioned as central Vietnam's "Silicon Valley." Home to a Tier 3+ green data centre (Trung Nam Group + Infracrowd Capital, ~$100M) and SMT electronics manufacturing.

Reading between the lines: the city is deliberately trying to move Đà Nẵng up the value chain — from cheap outsourcing labor toward semiconductors, AI and R&D — which is a multi-year bet, not yet reflected in today's job-count numbers.

Notice the pattern: a large share of Đà Nẵng postings list it as one of two or three interchangeable locations rather than an Đà Nẵng-only role — a sign the local candidate pool is still shallow enough that employers cast a wider net.

Living there single-person moderate budget, 2026

Moderate budget: ~$450/mo (vs $650 HCMC, $750 Hà Nội) 1-bed rent, city centre: ~$350/mo Coworking: ~$80/mo Safety index: highest of the three major hubs

Who's actually hiring

FPT Software — largest, broadest hiring across levels AvePoint Vietnam — .NET/C# product engineering Marvell — signed MoU for Software Park 2, semiconductor design

Outside these anchor names, most listings come from offshore-development shops serving Japanese, US and European clients — Đà Nẵng is still primarily a delivery/outsourcing base, with the semiconductor pivot in early stages.
